The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) held a training session on women's volunteer services from October 27 to 29 in Nanning, capital city of South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The session aimed to help the participants learn about the status, tasks and requirements of the volunteer service in the new era, popularize the theory of volunteer service, and enhance the capabilities of volunteers in providing services and managing projects.
The training included lectures, case analysis, discussions, exchanges and field study, and experts from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Chinese Young Volunteers Association as well as those from colleges and universities were invited to give lectures.
The courses covered the current state and tasks of the women's volunteer service, planning and management of the volunteer service projects, the incubation of volunteer service organizations, the theory and practice of volunteer service, and the operation and management of women volunteers' stations.
Wu Haiying, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.
Officials of provincial-level women's federations who take charge of volunteer service work and heads of 35 women volunteers' stations across the country attended the training session.
